But today Lily Cole wrapped up warm as she went on a shopping trip with her mum in Cambridge where she is set to start university.
The 20-year-old Marks & Spencer model enrolled at the prestigious Cambridge University at the weekend to undertake a three-year course in the history of art.

Over the weekend she joined 134 other students at the King's College chapel for the university matriculation ceremony.
Today the model showed her more down-to-earth side as she perused the shops.
Wearing a blue beanie hat and red scarf, Lily spent some time in Boots - perhaps stocking up on painkillers to nurse any potential hangovers she gets from partying with her new friends.

And getting to know new people is one of Lily's top priorities.
She said: 'That's what I'm looking forward to about going to university... meeting lots of new people.'
Lily's controversial shoot in Playboy is said to have been inspired by the cover of French musician Serge Gainsbourg's 1971 album Histoire de Melody Nelson.

She is featured in a 14-page spread inside the October edition of the men's magazine.
In the interview which accompanies the Playboy photos Lily tries to justify her decision to pose nude.
She says: 'Nudity has always existed in art, and I think that, given the right conditions, it doesn't necessarily "debase" any more than it celebrates or represents the human body.'
