Shopping in Manchester today without make-up, Katie Price looked nothing like her glamour girl alter ego Jordan.

A slick of blusher did nothing to hide her spotty skin, while her brown hair blew limply in the wind.

The mother-of-three looked skinny and frail in her tight-fitting jeans, with a red puffa jacket to keep out the cold, teamed with cowboy boots of the same colour.

Perhaps Price has something on her mind - there has been speculation that her three-year marriage to Peter Andre is in trouble.

She certainly looked tired and distracted as she popped into French Connection, Harvey Nichols and Flannels.

One friend told Closer magazine that Andre was tired of being put down by his wife.

'He's told her that unless she treats him with some compassion and like an equal then their wedding vows don't mean a thing,' the friend said.

He was apparently left fuming when 30-year-old Katie claimed in an interview she knew nothing about his new project - a make-up range for men.

Glamour queen Katie Price took the reins today as she launched her first range of equestrian clothing.

The mother-of-three looked stunning as she modelled the line for female riders while brandishing a whip and posing next to a horse.

Price has said of the range: 'There’s something here for everyone – all ages and sizes, the horsey and the non-horsey.

'It’s fashionable and stylish but at the same time functional and wearable. And the horsewear is just fab. Your horse is going to look so cool!

The 30-year-old– who has also become a top-selling children's author- is a keen rider who keeps six horses in stables on her grounds, plays polo matches for charity and has recently taken up showjumping - coming in sixth out of 27 in a recent competition.

Earlier Price - who is also known as Jordan -revealed that she and husband Peter Andre have been forced to hire 24-hour security guards after burglars targeted her new home.

The family have been on holiday in Cyprus but returned to find out thieves had tried unsuccessfully to break in to their house.

Neighbours even reported seeing men hiding in bushes just outside their mansion in Warlingham, Surrey.

The model and singer husband have now hired round the clock security men to guard their home against intruders.

'We found out that people have been trying to break into our new house while we were away, so we've had to get 24-hour guards,' said the 30-year-old.

'We didn't want to get dogs because of the kids.

'Apparently there have been people in the bushes and all sorts.'

Price and Andre have just returned from a family holiday in Cyprus with their children Junior, 3, daughter Princess Tiamii, 1, and Harvey, 6, Price's son with footballer Dwight Yorke.

Price said of the holiday: 'The whole family had such a good time in Cyprus, although I burnt my legs really badly.

'I covered myself with a cocktail of baby oil and olive oil and now they're peeling and look awful.'

The couple moved from the nearby village of Ockley in Surrey to their new home because so many bad things happened to them at their former residence. They even said they thought the old house was cursed.

However they told OK magazine that their new home, complete with a castle-like look out tower, will not be their last as they are building the house of their dreams completely from scratch in a mystery location.

The glamour model turned novelist had her 32FF chest reduced to a less cartoonish size last December.

It brought her chest size down to a 32D, and was a Christmas present from her husband Peter Andre, 34.

She added: "I've been through all this and look at the state of me."

Jordan has spoken out in defence of the sexually explicit behaviour featured on her reality TV show, Jordan and Peter: The next chapter.

The former glamour-model and her husband, singer Peter Andre, have admitted they found the degrading content of their show "disgusting" after scenes sparked controversy among audiences.

Their lewd antics, filmed in front of their children, have reportedly caused child experts to question the couple's parenting skills.

The couple also have inappropriate discussions in front of their three children, Harvey, six, Junior, two and Princess, nine months, squabbling over what constitutes sex.

Child psychologists have deemed the behaviour "inappropriate" claiming it could have damaging effects on the children.

This is the second time this year Jordan's parental abilities have been called into question.

In February, former nanny Becky Gould attacked the couple saying that they spend no time together as a family and that they were even quizzed by social services after their son disabled son Harvey scalded himself with boiling water.

She said: "I'm seeing doctors about Harvey's diagnosis, but I've got my book launch this afternoon in Harrods so I'm going to have my hair and make-up done and dress as a mermaid while they tell me"

"It's crazy but it's the only way to fit in everything."

Peter criticised Jordan for taking her career too far, but admits the reality show is necessary for their image.

He said: "It keeps our profile up, and I love it."

Between them they've got five children - but they're clearly not giving Jordan or Alex Curran any sleepless nights as the pair found the energy to teamed up for an all-night club crawl.

A source told The Mirror: "They had a blast and will definitely hook up again soon."

Whereas Steven Gerrard didn't try to keep up with his wife, opting to stay at the hotel, Jordan's husband Peter Andre started the night with the girls, but obviously couldn't take the pace as he reportedly went home just after midnight.
