Pregnant Penny Lancaster Shows Perfect Pins Velvet Minidress

She may be four-and-a-half months pregnant, but that's not stopping Penny Lancaster experimenting with her wardrobe.

The 39-year-old model, who is expecting her second child with husband Rod Stewart, donned a tiny velvet minidress and patterned tights for an event in London last night.

And while Lancaster drew attention to her incredibly long 36-inch legs in the black hosiery, there was barely a hint of a burgeoning bump beneath her puff-sleeved dress.

It was only when Lancaster turned to the side that the tiniest hint of a bump could be seen on her way into the Wellchild Awards at the InterContinental Hotel in London.

The only other sign that Lancaster was pregnant was her slightly rounded face and radiant pregnancy glow.

The baby, due in February, will be the second child for Lancaster and Stewart, who are already parents to four-year-old Alastair. It will be Stewart's eighth child.

The pair have made no secret about the difficulty they have had conceiving, finally becoming pregnant on Lancaster's third round of IVF.

And Lancaster admits she couldn't control her emotions when she discovered she was pregnant.

She said: 'I couldn’t believe it. I burst into tears.

'I called Rod when I was still sobbing. Rod said, “I’m in the middle of a restaurant in Russia, crying”.

‘I kept pinching myself. Neither of us could believe it.’

Stewart has already fathered seven children.

His eldest-daughter Sarah Streeter is 46, and was conceived when the singer was just 18.

His second-eldest Kimberley, 30, and Sean, 29, is from his marriage to first wife Alana.

Stewart went on to have another daughter, Ruby, 23, with girlfriend Kelly Emberg. He then had Renee, 18, and son Liam, 15, with his ex-wife, model Rachel Hunter.

However, Stewart said this baby will definitely be his last.

He explained: 'I'm very happy but it will be the last. I can't have any more kids, otherwise I'll be touring until I'm 90.'

Stewart is one of the best-selling British artists of all time with sales of more than 250million records worldwide.

The star's new album Fly Me To The Moon...The Great American Songbook, Vol. 5, comes out on 19 October.

To publicise the release, Rod will be playing a gig live on the Home Shopping Network on 9 October.

He will also be flying to America after the release to promote the record on shows including Jimmy Kimmel Live, Good Morning America and The Tonight Show With Jay Leno.

Penny Lancaster tops up her tan as husband Rod Stewart keeps watch over the beach

Armed with a pair of binoculars, Rod Stewart kept a vigilant eye on the beach yesterday as he and his family caught some sun in Italy.

The ageing rocker looked poised for action as he inspected his surroundings.

However, his wife Penny Lancaster seemed more concerned about getting comfortable on her sunbed.

Dressed in tie-dye purple bikini bottoms and a vest, the 38-year-old model wriggled around and strained to apply sunblock to those hard-to-reach places.

Seemingly satisfied, Rod later relaxed his beachside patrol to play with the couple’s two-year-old son, Alistair.

Refreshingly, the couple don’t seem to have brought along a nanny for the trip and are spending valuable family time together.

The pair have recently spoken about their desperation to have another child.

Father-of-seven Rod, 64, and Penny have been trying to conceive for over a year.

The couple will no doubt be hoping that a calming break on the beach will help speed up the process.

Penny Lancaster helps her (very) old man to get up

Rod Stewart rang in his 63rd birthday last month - and he certainly appears to be feeling his age.

The once energetic rocker was forced to call on his sprightly young wife Penny Lancaster to help him to his feet during a family day out in New Zealand yesterday.

Creaky: Rod looked to be feeling his age as he slowly eased off the ground

Rod, who was on a break between performances, looked to be a little creaky as he struggled to get upright after spending the afternoon lounging around on the beach front in Auckland.

The couple were joined by their two-year-old son, Alastair, who spent time building sand castles as his parents watched on.

And there may be another on the way - Rod and Penny sparked pregnancy rumours after he was spotted apparently kissing her stomach during an outing in LA earlier this month.

Aching: Rod appeared to be in a little bit of pain as he tried to get comfortable on the sand

While a spokesperson denied the 36-year-old is expecting, she has been open about her desire for more children.

During an interview with Sharon Osbourne shortly after Alastair's birth, she said she'd like to have a brother or sister for him.

She said at the time: "We hope there will be another one. We're planning on it and hopefully after Strictly Come Dancing we'll start trying again."

A hug from Rod ... so is Penny wearing it swell?

Every Picture Tells A Story was one of Rod Stewart's greatest albums - and this picture could be starting rumours that the 63-year-old rocker's third wife Penny Lancaster is pregnant again.

The couple, who married in June last year, were snapped at a Los Angeles restaurant last week.

Although they were sharing a late breakfast with Rod's son from a previous relationship, Sean, they found time for a tender moment together, with Rod appearing to kiss his wife on the tummy.

Rod and Penny have a two-year-old son of their own, Alastair, and model Penny, 36, has been open about her desire for more children.

During an interview with Sharon Osbourne shortly after Alastair's birth, she said she'd like to have a brother or sister for him.

More recently, Penny - who competed on Strictly Come Dancing last year - also told a website that she'd like to concentrate on trying for a second child with Rod.

"We hope there will be another one. We're planning on it and hopefully after Strictly Come Dancing we'll start trying again," she said.

But a spokesman flatly denied the couple had pregnancy news. "She has no reason to hide this," he said.

Rod's high heels make him as tall as leggy wife Penny

Even with his towering eighties-style hair, Rod Stewart has been exasperated to find he still falls a few of inches shorter than his 6ft 1ins wife Penny Lancaster.

It was against that background that the pair arrived at a party this week looking strangely different - quite bizarrely they appeared for the first time to be of equal stature.

Spot the difference: The usually diminutive Rod and 6ft 1inch wife Penny appeared for the first time to be of equal stature

As guests including Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, Joely Richardson and Selina Scott filed into the party thrown by jewellers Cartier at London's

Natural History Museum, eyebrows were raised about the couple's appearance.

And it seems eyebrows were not all that was being raised.

On closer inspection, it turns out Rod's patent leather boots also had some quite sizeable lifts on the heels.
Rod2
Lifts: Closer inspection revealed Rod had some help in the height department from his high heeled shoes

The chunky lifts looked to have put an extra two inches onto the Scottish singer's height.

Intriguingly, Penny - who is most usually the one seen out in high heels - wore low flat ballet-style pumps for the glittering party.

The end effect was that 62-year-old Rod, who stands 5ft 10ins in his stocking feet, was lifted to seem almost the same height as his much taller 36-year-old wife.

Whether Penny's flat shoes were worn at her husband's insistence we may never know. Perhaps they were just more comfortable after all that high-octane ballroom dancing she has been putting in recent weeks.

Party feet: Penny was resting her feet in ballet pumps after a gruelling week's training for TV dance competition Strictly Come Dancing

Speaking to the Mail at the party, Rod was quick to dispel talk of any jealousy he may have for Ian Waite, Penny's 6ft 3ins professional dance partner in the BBC1 show.

Asked whether he minded Penny being manhandled by other statuesque dancers on the show, quick came Rod's reply: 'It's not other men, there is only one.

He's a very nice boy. We get on brilliantly. There is no scandal there.' Then he added in rather unlikely terms: 'We're old school mates - we go back a long way together.'

Penny Lancaster reveals her hot legs ahead of Strictly Come Dancing debut

Rod Stewart and his wife Penny Lancaster were on top form last night as they enjoyed an after-dinner dance outside Cipriani restaurant.

Penny was showing a lot of leg in her short dress, and by the looks of it she's getting in as much practice for Strictly Come Dancing as possible.

High spirits: Penny can't resist showing off her moves as she leaves London restaurant Cipriani with rocker husband Rod Stewart last night

The 36-year-old model is one of the biggest stars in the BBC reality show, and is hotly tipped to scoop the dancing crown.

It's the first live show tomorrow evening and the boys will be first to dance, fighting to keep their place in the competition.

The girls will get their chance next Saturday, so expect to see some more sexy moves from Penny while exiting London's top restaurants next week.

Penny Lancaster's rock star son

Penny Lancaster believes her son is going to be a rock star.

Penny - who has a 22-month-old boy, Alastair, with rocker husband Rod Stewart - claims her young son is already showing signs of musical greatness.

The 36-year-old model told Hello magazine: "Alastair likes to play guitar with his sister Ruby, who is 20. Rod gets out his guitar and Ruby does too. Alastair gets hold of the microphone and starts singing.

"He also loves soccer and swimming. He seems to be into everything at the moment!"

Penny also revealed she and Rod have made a pact to never spend more than two weeks apart, and she has started turning down work to spend time with her family.

She said: "My priority is to be with my family. I've started looking around for schools for Alastair - we are looking at schools in America and England, so wherever we are he will have a place of education."
